Hello everyone! My name is Mark Lakatos. I am looking forward to learning with you all. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Westland, Michigan which is just outside of Detroit. I left Michigan to join the Marine Corps and spent my time in as a military policeman. After the military, I attended college where I earned a Master of Business Administration. I am in the process of earning my Ph.D. in Business Administration.
I am currently the Vice President of Learning and Development for a Financial Institution in Costa Mesa, California. I have been in HR and Organizational Development for nearly 20 years. I am very passionate about education and learning. I consider formal education an excellent preparation for life-long learning. Knowledge evolves and students must be constantly seeking knowledge. Providing students with motivation to become self-directed learners is my goal.

I consider formal education as an excellent preparation for life-long learning. Knowledge evolves and students must be trained to constantly learn. Providing students with motivation to both “learn” and “re-learn” is my goal. |
